When should I use "Update Photos..."? - ExcireThomas - 10.03.2017

If you edit an image, which is already initialized, in a significant manner by adapting a region of interest or modifying the colors extremely (e.g. turn green into blue), then you need to analyze the image again, so that the essentiel mathematical representations and dominant colors fit to the image. This can be done by means of "Update Photos...".

But notice, if you usually conduct extreme color conversions you should disable the option "Fast initialization" in the Excire Search section of the plug-in manager, so that an image export can be applied and the extraction of the dominant colors will fit to the visual impression of an image. If you are not such an extreme editor, keep the "Fast initialization" option enabled, which yields a faster initialization.
